Singaporean furniture company Secretlab is marking the 25th anniversary of the Pokemon franchise with a pair of new gaming chairs. The chairs are an updated version of Secretlab’s TITAN Evo 2022 design and feature Pokemon’s most well-known mascots Pikachu and Charizard. The new models are set to be launched in Japan before being distributed to other parts of the world.
The ergonomic chairs have the yellow Secretlab logo at the top and yellow accents on the side of the chair. The chairs have a front-facing image of the Pokemon characters and a large picture stitched on the back. With the Pikachu gaming chair, yellow is the predominant color, while Charizard chairs are adorned in orange.
Despite the makeover, the advanced ergonomic form of the TITAN Evo 2022 design is still there, with a proprietary pebble seat base that encourages freedom of movement while providing comfort and support. Meanwhile, a patented lumbar support system, the 4-way L ADAPT™, offers full support for the neck and back. They will also have CloudSwap™ 4D armrests that are made of quality metal and are easily replaceable. Finally, a head pillow made out of magnetic memory foam and cooling gel keeps the neck comfortable.
The Pokemon-themed chairs come in two sizes: small and regular. And while they are being launched on the Japanese market, Secretlab also showed off the chairs on its US site and social media pages. After all, this is an important market for the Pokemon franchise, including the augmented reality mobile game Pokemon GO, which many kids can enjoy if they have good smartphones.
According to Secretlab, the new chairs blend innovation in design with several patented technologies to deliver an enhanced level of performance and support.
It is not the first time Secretlab designs chairs based on well-known gaming and movie franchises. They’ve also made gaming chairs featuring characters from Harry Potter, Minecraft, World of Warcraft, and The Witcher.
