Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

Pros:
- Long Battery Life and Charges fairly quick
- The Grip Texture helps for those days / nights your playing for awhile and your hands get sweaty
- Paddles defiantly elevate your game play and it’s a lot easier then you think to train yourself to use them
- Hair Triggers have easy switch on / off switches and also help elevate your game play
- Analog Sticks are tighter for better handling in FPS Games
- Controller has a nice, custom look you cannot get from any other controller on the market
*NOTE* before I list the cons be aware that these could be different for everyone depending on your game play
CONS
-I run the Astro M80 Mix amp and this prevents me from using the inside paddles
- The M80 Mix Amp does not work if the controller is plugged into the console and/or charging (I have no idea why but it’s extremely irritating)
- The Right Trigger is already sticky (I could have gotten something caught inside the trigger but doubtful. I like to keep my controllers clean)
- Just Yesterday it decided to randomly turn off on me twice while I was playing Warzone. Not a good thing when playing anything multiplayer.
- The Hair triggers don’t actually change the trigger response, only the pull. I cannot drive vehicles at full speed in Warzone. I have to constant switch the on off switch when driving a vehicle.
The cons defiantly don’t out weigh the pros, but it’s little things that it does / has that almost make it a 3 Star Rating. Scuf came highly recommend from 3 friends of mine and they have never stated any issues. It’s possible I got a controller that was built on a Monday or a Friday, but who knows. If it decides to keep shutting off on me again, this review will be updated to a 3 Star and I will sadly have to send it back. If your debating on getting any type of pro controller, I defiantly recommend it. It makes you so much better at any multiplayer FPS or Battle Royale.
One year later...
I'm an old dude that takes care of my stuff, so it's pretty disappointing that a $200 controller that only gets used about 8 hours a week and has no contact wear barely made it past the one year mark. The battery holds a charge well, but I think there is an internal connection issue. With a full charge and vibration off it shuts off in the middle of games. So, it's now a corded controller. Also, one of the paddles broke off tonight. Since they work by flexing, I'm surprised one didn't break sooner.
Will I be buying an 8 cent piece of plastic for $20 so I can get it working again? Probably.
Will I buy another "high end" controller? Probably not.
I will start out with some positives. He really liked the paddles on the back of the controller and the trigger stops. He spent sometime in his lobbies adjusting his settings and getting used to the different mapping. There is a bit of a learning curve, but he really enjoyed the controller's functions.
He had issues with the thumb stick's material deteriorating after about 4 or 5 months. I will mention this is a recurring issue he has faced with other controllers, and I thought purchasing something of higher quality would resolve this issue. It's really unfortunate because I've also purchased thumb stick covers, and can say they worked, but neither of us liked the feeling. I don't grip my controllers as hard, so if you don't grip heavily this likely isn't an issue you would face.
The biggest cause for lack of stars is the drifting. It started up in the last few weeks and nothing seems to resolve the issue. He's even taken off the cover and used condensed air to remove any dirt that would cause the sticking. It worked the first few tries, but the drifting always returns.
Amazon's return police is valid for 30 days, and Scuf's warranty on their website is for 6 months so there is no returning the product. For a controller that cost $190.00, I'm unimpressed. I would expect a controller catered towards serious gamers to be able to withstand heavy usage and this did not meet our expectations.
Other than that good job scuff it’s an awesome controller.
