Now for what I don't care so much for and what could be improved. When I first set these speakers up on my desk, I went from using a pair of 5" Klipsch speakers paired with a vacuum tube amplifier to these 3" Nommo Pro. The Nommo Pro sounded terrible to my ears. Back they go! -- I thought. But I looked through the software and found some pre-EQ settings. Lets give these a try, nothing to lose at this point! After going through all the pre-EQ settings and trying it both in gaming and music I found the 'Dolby Game' EQ to be best, magical almost! Finally, a smile entered my face. Now for the RGB. Setting this up was fairly easy, select your color(s), pick a scheme and save to a profile. This is where this product fails in a multi- use setting for gamers. When you select the RGB one wants, it is saved to a profile on the users device and not the Nommo Pro itself. For example, I am able to save a Keyboard profile directly to my keyboard. So no matter where I take or use my Keyboard, everything stays the same, for it is saved on the Keyboards memory but no not the Nommo Pro. They can't be moved out to the living room to be used on your gaming system or tv for it will not keep the profile you have picked on your computer. Instead you are met with the nauseous rainbow effect that is just distracting. Lastly, the speaker cords are short! And I mean short! With use of an 34" ultra-wide monitor the subwoofer/control module has to sit under my desk slightly to the side of my feet. This can be frustrating when you stub your toe on the unit! I would of like to set it on the outside of my desk, one side or another. But the speaker cords are just too short. I decided I needed at least 3 to 4 foot extension cable so I hoped over to Razer's store website in search for such a cord. But no luck (of course) and the speaker ends terminate into a proprietary connector. I searched the web far and wide and was unable to any extension of such.
One other thing I almost forgot to mention that becomes annoying with the Nommo Pro is that after so much time, like 10 or 15 minutes without any sound playing the Nommo Pro will go into standby mode but they will not wake back up after sound starts playing again. Now you have to reach over to the power button and power it back on manually. This may not be a deal breaker for some but it is annoying over time and worth a mention. I mean it is connected digitally via USB or fiber optic it should wake itself back up with a sound input but sadly it doesn't. Maybe in a future firmware/ software update this could be possible but not as of right now, it isn't. Strangely, my cheaper Creative Sound Blaster Katana soundbar would auto wake-up on all inputs even the analog input!
But if you are like me -- for the most part -- just wanting gaming speakers; these have been wonderful. Wide sound stage and imaging is incredible! Details are drawled out into an immersive environment that is wide and open with precision. Both the sound and looks are beautiful but some minor details that where over looked and left out at this price keeps these far from perfect.
UNFORTUNATELY mine stopped turning on about 5 weeks out from purchase. I contacted Amazon and they refunded most of the price. I had contacted Razer support the same day and they didn’t get back for 2 weeks without any real help. This would be a LONG process using Razer.
This thing is a beast. At the time the Witcher on Netflix had just launched so I set this up run my office and GOOD LORD the monsters were incredible. Everything TV has been great, I actually switched from Apple TV to Fire Cube because they support optically connected speakers.
It does have minor annoyances. The PC audio was great but nothing like the TV which for the price is a bit disappointing.
The cable management should be better with routing under the speaker.
The LEDs are weak, barely there at full power and off whenever the system is off so they start up separately, and manually.
The straight up and down extra tall design is mid monitor height. If you have 3 monitors this will be annoying for you and block crucial information like chat panels or other logs.
The system shuts itself off and you can’t stop it, which is annoying because you have to manually turn it on.
The lack of remote control for something that constantly turns itself off is annoying. I was constantly walking to my computer to turn on the speakers for the TV after sitting down with the remote for the TV.
A 600 dollar purchase is something that should last a long time, and Razer love them or hate them is not known for long lived products, and it seems that would extend to these speakers as mine died after 5 weeks despite multiple trouble shooting attempts.
Overall and final thoughts, it’s not for me mostly because of quality concerns. However if you love Razer and you want a big powerful sound for both your TV and PC this is the way to go. If it’s just for PC you are frankly overpaying for the performance you’ll get (unless you have an optical connector) though it is admittedly stronger/better sound than the cheaper alternatives from Logitech.
Sound is 5 stars, it’s not audiophile but you shouldn’t expect that at this price, it is better than many surround sound systems I’ve heard even in many theaters.
Features is 3 stars good connectivity bad features in general.
Longevity is 1 star it broke and Razer is known for that with other products

THESE ARE NOT GOOD SPEAKERS! In one year I went through 3 different speakers! The first one the logo was missing on one of the speakers, the second pair blew a fuse (probably) and did not turn on at all, and now my third pair has chroma issues!!! The lights will turn off and remain off until the speaker want's it too.

The most honest review I could give?
I WISH I NEVER BOUGHT THEM! NEVER AGAIN!
Please do not buy these speakers, they will work for a good 4 months, then you will start having problems. please make a better decision and go for these speakers instead of wasting money on this terrible product!
- "Bose Acoustimass® 5 Series V stereo speaker system"
- "Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 Computer Speakers (THX Certified)"
- "Harmon and Kardon SOUNDSTICKS III"
- "Logitech Z906 5.1 Computer Speakers System (THX Certified)"
- "Klipsch R-15PM"
These are brand name items so they are higher quality (maybe not Logitech) than Razer.
As for sound quality, well, they all sound different, my first pair sounded like a wall was in front of each part of the speaker, but the bass was very good. My second pair had amazing sound quality, the best ones to date, then they no longer turned on. Sad days... My third pair the ones I have now and are in the hoping process of a return, are meh, not good, the mids are off, the highs are too high that it hurts your ears, and the bass HA this pair has the worst bass ever, I can't even shake my pipes with it... Oh well... I guess this was a project Razer must have rushed out and didn't spend enough time on...
Here is my older review based on my first speaker, as each speaker sounds different,
" Ehhhh, I am a Razer fan and I wanted the best of the best.... in all honesty these are just a show and tell piece as the sound quality is only “great” when you adjust it manually (my manual adjustment settings is below).
Furthermore, the audio enhancement features are crap, excuse my language, but for the price you would be expecting “bang and olfsen”, “bose”, “harman and karden” sound quality, but unfortunately it is not the same. I don’t know if I have a dud speaker system but there is no surround sound at all, when I turn that audio enhancement on, it sounds like there is a wall blocking the audio and it IS NOT CRISP and clean, nor, is the THX enhancement. The only way the audio sounded nice, crisp and clean, is when I customized it with my own settings (28% volume, bass boost of 41%-60% depending on song, 60hz @ +3dB, 250hz @ +6dB, 500hz @ +3 dB, 1kHz @ +4dB, 2kHz @ 0dB, 4kHz @ +3dB, 8kHz @ +7dB, 16kHz @ +4dB)
I tested the speakers with audiophile music going @ 192kb/s with my own settings above, and it sounds really nice, but for contrast I tested dollar store speakers against these and, well, the razer nommo pros won... who would’ve guessed 700$ speakers beat 20$ speakers... the only reason they won however was clarity ***when it was on my settings*** when on the THX audio enhancement for example, they were pretty similar to dollar store speakers lmao.... video attached in THX mode you can compare the audio in the videos
They do have a nice shape however, and the aesthetics are very VERY nice. I do really love the cylinder design. But for $700 I would also expect a smoother control pod it is a bit rough... also since there is no cage blocking the speakers dust and dirt gets on the speaker and it is very tough to clean.
Here is one question I had for aesthetics, does it light up to the beat of the music?
A: Yes, but, you need to download a separate chroma application visualizer on your computer for your lights to move to the beat (sorta)...
BTW the other speaker was the ArtDio UC-280 with 3” full range 4 Ohm Driver, 1.2watts*2....
However, I won’t lie the reason the sound quality is 4 stars is because of the bass, the bass is truly remarkable, better than “bose” in this sense. And the tweeters are also really spot on with those hit tats and high frequencies, the highest frequency I tested that I can hear was 17’235 Hz, so not bad at all. Humans can only hear about 20,000 Hz. "
I hoped this helped...
One last thing I wanted to say is Razer owns THX soooooooooo... they could just slap the THX logo on and voila.
(Sorry if some of the grammar is off)
Hello,
It has been a few years since my last update on these speakers. Razer finally sent me an original batch, and i mean first assembly line batch. Got the sticker authentication on the box. These ones have been used like me going to the gym. not often. ;) its been about or close to 2 years since I’ve had to replace them. Got lucky there. So, do I recommend these speakers? Still NO ABSOLUTELY TRASH!!! Here’s an analogy, they are like apple airpods max, looks cool, built with metal, but thats it. Sound quality can still be better for the price, and issues still happen often.
If i were to recommend another speaker company, try Sony. Great sound quality in most of all their speakers, and have been in the audio game for a while. Hell the OG XB-10 ‘not the new ones’, paired with 2 of them on stereo mode, sound really good for less than $80, like surprisingly good, like daily driver good.
Stay safe folks.

after multiple tries to turn it on cycling main switch and remote switch to no avail, I decided the unit must have blown a fuse or something.... The way it is assembled with the big rubber pad on the bottom means you cannot open it to check for an internal fuse so perhaps I would have to RMA it to not void warrranty. Luckily I didn't have to..... I found an old thread for a related product that said his came back to life a week later.... strange. So I hooked it all back up again.... toggled the main and remote switch and still nothing..... then not sure why but I pressed the main switch in hard and held it for a second, pressed the remote button and it came back to life.
No Idea what the heck..... So I give it only 4 stars...… Sounds great!
Now if I could only make the volume go higher.... Volume on these speakers is linked to the main volume in windows... turn them up or down and the volume in windows goes up and down. Some speakers you can set the volume independent of windows and that seems better. Give control back to the user.
