Got this for my theater projector room. About a 15x25 room with a 120 screen 4K projector. I mounted the speakers to my ceiling and left the subwoofer center stage on the floor under the projector screen. The sound quality is crisp with good mids and highs, and the bass is thunderous. It rattles the upstairs floor when I and the family are watching movies.
The speaker line is decent however, I went with a thicker guage as I have some custom lengths to run to get the speakers where I wanted them. I'm driving the audio with a simple Asus gaming laptop on a single 3.5 mm audio connection. Future plan is to build a small form factor media PC and drive the audio system via optical.
Overall, I could not be happier with this system. Logitech makes great products.

Great entry 5.1 system, some limitations

Give these babies about a month to break in, try to play light music daily, and when they "get there" you will know it because you will go from telling everyone "maybe I should have returned it" to "This sound is coming from those little things?"

Summary of use: I've been using this system in room most audiophiles would run away from, 11ft L, 10ft W, 8ft H; for about 3 months almost daily. Mixed usage of listening to Blu-ray movies quality lossless audio (via pot-player), gaming, and "hd" music sources like Prime Music or compressed streams like Spotify. My listening position in in the front third of the room, front end are sitting on a large desk with decoupling monitor foam under them, surround speakers are wall mounted about 65-70% away from front wall in terms of relative placement depth, which puts them about 5 feet from my ears during gaming or listening.

Verdict: Here is the deal, if you understand the pros/cons of using digital audio via the Optical/Coaxial inputs, or are using analog audio, this system is a great way to upgrade your set up in a WELL treated room.

Pros:
-Obviously the sound quality vs cost! Very respectable, just warm enough for small drivers, and accurate especially in gaming and most music.

-Lots of inputs, desktop console is convenient but may be limiting for upgrading parts of the system). The variety of inputs also allow for having some modularity, I test bench systems and I have a SO that plugs her laptop in and its nice not having to unplug anything to plug something in.
-Decent remote control, considering the cost the console gives respectable control of front, center, surround, and sub/lfe levels. one glaring missing option...

Cons:
-...No STRAIGHT or no decoder option, When the console detects a Dolby or DTS signal the "decoder" LED does come on and so long as you know how to get true 5.1 sound (like in audio options or software selection you will), but it seems I need to use players like potplayer from high fidelity sources. I will say the "3D" effect works well with all the popular streaming services, can be more front heavy than expected at times, but still respectable, just wish I could turn it off for straight PCM/digital audio.

-Can be overwhelmed, very high-fidelity audio sources are usually a good thing, but at times watching Godzilla v Kong although was incredibly enjoyable, I could definitely hear these speakers struggle to reproduce the nuances of true lossless audio or just really complex sound environments, and the things started to sound more messy and flat.

-Horrifically anemic included speaker wire (lengthwise ok, just should be a LITTLE thicker to help these little speakers get as much help as possible, It was so bad I switched out to basic 14g wire for all speakers and noticed a significant upgrade and much less occasional distortion or random static

Other notes:
Do not expect to put this in a room full of drywall and glass and expect to get an amazing experience, but if you can maximize the speakers in the z906 system with proper placement you can get some very clean, surprisingly rich midrange and a subwoofer that can punch above it's weight class. I have more acoustic treatment than most because I have been planning to upgrade to a traditional bookshelf speaker for main drivers (like a 5inch driver). But it should be noted my treatment is significant but nothing expensive; just some rockwool 80/60, a variety of panels (bubos, jardeon hex tiles and some light diffusion in the room, no giant ceiling clouds or heavy rugs etc), and the only reason I would know I am listening to a home theater in a box system is that the only weakness is true 2 channel or (2.1) stereo, I have the front two speakers about 4 feet away from each other with some treatment under my desk, and behind my primary display to help the dreaded desk reverb, but although I can't say they sound "bad" but they are definitely being pushed to the maximum of there abilities when Adele tops out and she sounds flat, and we know she doesn't sound flat.

Like I said, make sure you know the limitations of the system, I think this great for anyone needing a HT in a box or for the gamers running primary display through DisplayPort, as this system does not have any HDMI input or pass-thru which may discourage those using HDMI 2.1 from modern GPUs

Sound great on both the PC and Xbox Series X

Call of Duty sounds amazing on this speaker set, the bass is rich. In order to get them to work with Xbox Series X, the optical out on the LG OLED had to be utilized since the Xbox Series X does not have an optical out port. Furthermore, the sound output setting on the LG TV had to be changed from optical out + TV speakers to optical out, otherwise the 5.1 would not kick in. Would definitely buy them again. They really make the gaming experience more immersive.

I bought it to replace a z906 I had since 2013. Aside from everything being mostly the same for the same price almost 10 years later, the d-sub cable (for the console to the subwoofer) is much shorter than what it was back in 2013. I had to purchase an extension.

The sound quality is what you'd expect from a 5.1 costing $350. It's "okay" compared to a pair of quality bookshelf speakers. The subwoofer handles most of the mids together with the bass which gives it a slight muddy sound in comparison.

WOW... easy set up for a man in his late sixties. and once I got every speaker dialed in it sounded awesome. more than enough power and bass. not once did I have to use the manual, I just winged it. but because of not having the right connectors to connect to my laptop, I ended up having to go through my IFI headphone amp/dac interface then to the sub, I did try the connectors that came with the unit [green to green] but it sounded like crap, I have a cheap $400 laptop but at least it has a USB 3.0 so I use that instead of having to use the headphone jack. but not to worried because I love how everything came together and the sound is way more than I had expected, now if the IFI has any thing to do with the sound quality I dont care, it's working so I will leave things the way they are.

If you are a Bass Lover, like me, this product gonna blow your mind, bass is very much stronger than any other brand, yes also better than JBL (only Bass), so u can say this is a monster under 25k, surround sound quality is also very good like Sony, but feels little bit difference, if looking best speakers for desktop/laptop, go for this blindly, you don't regret, if looking for stylish design with decent sound and all features like HDMI/3D/DTS/DD/DD+/Bluray/Bluetooth go for Philips or Sony yes but above 25K price range, so
According to me everything work great, but only some drawback (cons) for this, No Bluetooth, No HDMI, No SPDIF Optical Cable, No Mounting bracket in the box and console problem, many users talking about console/hardware problem occurs after 9-12months, but Logitech offering Replacement/Return Options, so I think no problem bez 2yr warranty is there.

Convert your medium to large size room into a cinema !!! But first do check if the device that you want to connect this to has an ARC (audio return channel) port only, because this one DOES NOT .... I’m using the digital Optical audio out port of my 55 inch smart television to connect it to this true 5.1 channels surround THX certified audio system (All the channel decoders etc.. are inside the subwoofer base unit) .... Wall mount the speakers correctly and get ready to get your mind blown !! You all can google what THX and correct wall mounting of speakers is all about.

I'm planning to upgrade to a 75 inch TV soon and use this audio system only with that as well.

Firstly this is a 1000 watts power packed sound system perfectly designed for use in a hall or a room or even a mini projection hall.

Home Cinema.
You can expect a movie theater experience when given the right input from the source playing.

Good rich deep bass, 8' sub makes it rumble.
Best class "THX" certified satellite speakers.
Easy to use control console with dolby chip.

Important.
If you want to enjoy true cinema experience,
Make sure you have a true sound encoded playback files, like dolby 5.1/7.1 or dts master audio.

Make sure you use digital audio transfer using coaxial / digital optical cable for losess multichannel sound.
( using RCA cables will just cut 50% of quality, can feel the difference).

Very important*
My speakers had a glitch, my sub woofer had a rattling crackeling sound at some low frequency. Found out to be the woofer grill having contact within. So i just removed the grill with help of some youtubing. Now its perfect 👌. Logitech failed to fix despite lot of similar issues in the web.

I bought this unit to go along with my Mi TV Pro 43 and Xbox 360.
Following are my experience after a week of usage:

+ 500W RMS, THX certified, Max bang for the buck at this price. No other speakers have similar specs i believe at this range.

+ Much needed SPDIF Coaxial connectivity option, which MiTV supports opposed to Optical. Xbox is connected via Optical.

+ Good 5.1 surround option. Decodes Xbox 5.1 sound without any issues. However with MiTV its not working, mainly due to limitation of the TV.

+ Fairly compact dimensions, fits my TV unit nicely.

- Bad packaging and transport from Amazon. Subwoofer grille is bent a little. Was too lazy to replace it as it can be fixed by opening it or pulling it outwards using some tool. Videos on youtube.

- Lots of wires and cables. Creates a big mess behind. Zip ties come handy.

- Remote control is too flimsy and made of thin cheap plastic. I almost felt like breaking the battery compartment while opening it !

- Sound quality is decent, i heard better. Bass is good but wished its more deep. Like many people said its good for movies and games but not music considering the price.

- Lack of tweeters is noticeable. Wish they came with one !

- Questionable aftermarket support and repair options once warranty gets over. Almost went for a bookshelf and amp but wanted to get a 5.1 in this price range.

- Unit is rated as 500W RMS. I have cheaper 30-40W 2.1 units, this doesn't feel 10 or even 5 times powerful to listen.

- Modern connectivity options like Bluetooth & HDMI Arc is absent.

Overall a decent purchase. Its always advisable to listen to a unit before buying them as music can be subjective. Also a lot depends on how better audio someone is exposed to. Anyone upgrading from sub 5k speakers will love this a lot, but at this price range a lot of great speakers are present. So hear out everything and make a sound purchase :)

Never purchased a sound system before and wasn't sure how to connect everything to my TV, but this turned out relatively easy although it took some time to unpack and wire. Purchased an optical cable to connect the subwoofer to the TV, and my TV supports DTS 5.1 decoding, so when setting the menu options correctly you get the right sound that shakes the ground and my body! My TV is 3D as well so I can enjoy the theatre experience at home.

I loved very much that you can individually control the volume of various sides of the speakers, like rear speakers or subwoofer separately, in addition to the overall volume.
