Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.

Although I am pleased with the camera, I have a complaint about Logitech USB devices. I have a Logitech K850 keyboard and an M720 mouse that use a unifying receiver. I have to plug the receiver in a USB2 port, because if I plug it in a USB3 port, the receiver fails intermittently. I will be typing on the keyboard, but there is no response. The white-button "1" LED blinks as if the keyboard has to re-establish its connection with the receiver. When I additionally plug in the StreamCam (USB-C connection), the failures occur more frequently to the point that I have to unplug the camera in order to type on the keyboard. The same behavior happens if I plug in my Logitech Pro C9 camera, but the failures are less frequent.
This behavior is not confined to a Microsoft Windows machine. The same problem occurs on my Ubuntu Linux machine. I keep hoping Logitech can solve this problem and fix it. I like the keyboard, mouse and both cameras, but constant plug/unplug of the camera just to be able to type slows down development.
I would love manual and fixed control of exposure and to lock the focus as it tends to wander (not often) but the Logitech max software crashes on startup on my M1 Mac. Once that works, 5 starrrs!
Looks nice enough, too. I got the white one because it’s cheaper so it sticks out a bit on a black monitor, but I barely see it any more.
Day 1 Review (I will only update if something goes wrong):
EXTREMELY disappointed to see that the camera is clearly used. If I wanted a used camera, I would have paid a cheaper price for a used one. The box was torn up, and everything inside was pretty dirty. The sticky bit that covered the camera was barely sticky and had dust and dirt completely underneath it. Be wary of the fact that I am very much not the only person who has reviewed this stating they clearly received a used product.
The StreamCam itself. Fantastic. I do suggest downloading the Logitech Capture software to get the most out of the cam, although I only had to make very little adjustments. The only light I have directly on me is my monitor, and I feel the cam looks really good with and without a bright desktop. The built in microphone of the cam actually doesn't sound that bad if you needed to use it and I would compare it to some of the "cheaper end" gaming headsets I have bought. Overall, I am very satisfied with the camera itself, but I am absolutely peeved that I was sent used product.
To be clear, this does not come with a tripod. This does not come with any sort of privacy cover either. Personally, I bought a stand that I can swivel and move around. In my video review, I have the camera right behind my monitor to give an idea of field of view.

My joy was short-lived however - upon opening up the Amazon package, I found the Logitech packaging had been clearly opened and re-sealed; the sticker that sits over the box opening even had remnants of food crumbs on it.
My disappointment grew as I removed the items from the package - the sticky lens protection cover was covered in fingerprints & crumbs and re-applied to the lens, the cable was marked up with black marks and what looks like nail polish, the documentation was crumpled as it had been roughly stuffed back into the box without much care by the previous owner. The USB-C connection showed signs of usage, with three distinct scratches on the connection. Nice.
I don't really want to wait another 2 months for a replacement webcam, so I'm keeping hold of it. I'm pretty unhappy to have paid full price for someone else's cast-off however, and quite displeased that a returned item can be shipped out to a customer as though it's a brand new item.

UPDATE
After 3 months of working with Logitech helpdesk, I have given up and will return camera. I got the point where helpdesk keeps repeating itself (see below) and writes a mail that they are recommending using 3rd party software! Ugh! I have been through this multiple times and searched all my log files (I run 200 strong S/W team so I'm not a complete newbie) and yesterday the camera failed on a really important call.... I'm done!!
"Hi Ian,
Thank you for the response. There might be a firewall or anti virus that prevents Logitech Options to launch. However since the camera is plug and play you can still use it in third party software. As for the issue can you please try to uninstall then reinstall Capture to verify the problem, have a nice day"
Logitech Support
* good image quality (for a few days)
* good autofocus
CONS:
* USB-C will only work with a computer having a USB-C port. Tried multiple adapters on three computers and it would only work when connected to a USB-C
* It will not work via a USB hub
* short cable. If you have a desktop with a large screen, you will need an extension.
* Stopped working after a few days. Now showing a "camera image" instead of the video stream.
* you will need to spend money on an extension
Overall, a very expensive camera with poor compatibility. USB-C, even though it may be the future, it is not as default in all computers. Will return it for an older (and more compatible) model
