I bought this BP monitor just to occasionally check my BP but since then I have been checking my BP and pulse rate daily. I took it to my MD's office to compare readings and they were within 5 mm or so of one another. I cannot stress enough to ask your MD or MD staff to teach you the correct way to take your BP and there are also many on-line health education videos as well to help.
With this monitor you can use batteries or plug in the wall adapter. I don't bother with batteries at all but keep it plugged in when I am home and plug in even when I travel. Everything fits and stores neatly in its zippered case to take anywhere. It records dates and times of BP readings and pulse rates for 1 to 2 users and easy to go through several days of data. Numbers are large and easy to read. The cuff for this monitor is standard size so must consider your upper arm measurement.

I would have given it 5 stars if they have smaller cuffs available. Although, customer service said they're working on it and even asked for my address so if they already have it, they could send me one. Also, I noticed that once you change the battery, it resets to the default date/time which is quite annoying. Performance wise, it's a great machine to take blood pressure. I love the color coding on the side of the monitor that tells you if it's normal or high.UPDATE-- Aside from having to reset the date/time once you change the batteries, the machine won't work if you plug it on an outlet without batteries. I once ran out of good batteries and had to plug it into an outlet but didn't work :(Update 10/10/17 - Late post! Received a smaller cuff last August! They really listened to customers suggestions and I really appreciate that they sent me a smaller cuff at no cost at all. Excellent customer service!

I have small arms, and reading the Q&A I saw that the standard cuff that comes with the unit is size large, but two smaller sizes are available. After I placed my order I messaged Greater Goods support and they helped me decide that the medium cuff would be the best fit. They sent this out at no charge, and it arrived a couple of days after the monitor.
I was pleased to see that the monitor came with a 28-page "Traditional Paper Manual." As well as detailed instructions and specifications, the manual includes a direct link to the product page at the GG website for further information, and the link is also on a sticker on the back of the unit. A drawstring bag is included to hold the monitor, the cuff, and the manual - very handy if you need to use it while traveling.
Following the instructions in the manual, I was able to set the monitor up in just a few minutes, as all that's needed is to install the batteries and set the date and time. After that, using the monitor is as simple as putting the cuff on your arm, plugging its tube into the monitor, and pushing the Start/Stop button. You push this button once to turn the unit on, select User 1 or User 2 (if needed), then push it again to start the measurement.
The measurement itself takes just a short time, and up to 60 results are stored for each user. The history can be reviewed at any time with the Mem function button; each reading shows the date and time it was taken along with the systolic and diastolic readings and pulse rate.
For a very reasonably priced unit this monitor is easy to use and has some good features, and I found that its measurements tracked closely with the ones made by my doctor.
