And, really, that's the main point. If you read or watch a lot of reviews out there, you will see that many of them lament the fact that nVidia has increased the price on the RTX series. But this needs to be seen in proper context. This card is NOT a direct replacement for the old 1070 series, which was the champion for the bang-for-the-buck title in nVidia's line-up. No, this card is a 1080/1080Ti replacement...it's faster than a 1080, almost as fast as a 1080Ti and includes Ray Tracing support which the 10-series cards don't have. The RTX 2070 runs cooler and more efficiently as well. And speaking of Ray Tracing, at launch, many reviews made issue of the fact that only two games even featured ray tracing. However, more games are coming with this technology and AMD just announced their intention to support it in their next line of cards...so, future-proof.
In all, I'm very impressed with the RTX 2070 and especially with the Aorus Xtreme version. It's very fast, very efficient and the RGB lighting is the best out there. It truly looks epic in a well-designed and configured system. It is expensive, but you can be certain to be able to run any of today's games on high/ultra settings and get an excellent experience. For sure, the RTX 2080/2080Ti are faster, but I'm not sure that extra speed is needed just yet...Not until the next Crysis comes out, anyway!

However, I think there may be a problem with the Displayport ports on my card. I tried to run multiple monitors through the DP ports, but only one will work at a time. Also, I have a standing desk, and I can only raise the desk to a certain height before the one monitor that is plugged into a DP turns off. If anyone has any insight into why the DP ports aren't working right, I'd be most appreciative of some help. I can't afford to be without the card for any length of time right now, since I am a Twitch streamer and I need the extra income on the side, so sending the card back isn't an option right now.
Positives:
Performance/OC Capabilities: Superposition 1080p xtreme Score: 6000/UserBenchmark Score:146%(without ANY Voltage/Power tweak) which basically sets it at 2080 stock performance
Maximum Temperature(unigine valley/superposition): 69C
Looks:This one is pretty subjective ,feel free to check vids on youtube to see how this card looks.
4 years waranty
Negatives:
Idle Temperatures of 50-56 degrees C: This one can be (easily?) fixed through the aorus engine by manually setting the fan curve
Aorus Engine:Honestly this program needs a good overhaul to be able to be in par with other such programs, atm it just feels too clunky.
Size:honestly this wouldnt come as a surprise since you probably already know you are getting a beefy card just make sure you have enough room for it,personally, I barely squeezed it next to my Noctua NH-d14
Conclusion:
This card goes around 100$ more than the basic 2070 models so its a hard decision to make.
What you basically pay those 100$ for:
Great Cooling for your Gpu/Overclocking capability
A factory OC
1 extra year of warranty
Looks
Should you buy it?It's up to you,I would definitely recommend it.

I hate to say this but RGB Fusion is just crap software. Everyone told me that early on, I figured haters gonna hate, but really for such a simple task it simply dissapoints me for this one reason: every time I start my PC, I have to recreate the light settings BECAUSE........wait for it........the software doesn't recognise the card is present sometimes. What does sometimes even mean right? Every other time? One in five times? I couldn't tell you it's so unpredictable. I have an aorus Mobo, ram, and the card, if any combination would be exempt from strange software ecosystem glitches it's this guys. And yet the ram and GPU seem to be lost in translation with fusion so they start up orange by default. So every time I start my beautiful RGB pc the lights glimmer, and then the fusion components are just straight pumpkin flavored and the whole vibe is dead.
So yeah the card rocks. Gigabyte however has separated their product from the others by including dazzling lights that they don't actually support. Facepalm.
