5.0 out of 5 stars Nice Size Great Image
By Sometimes a Lady on March 12, 2022
This is a nice projector, although a little more on the spendy side. My 3 and a half year old DBPower started to get a burn area in the image and it was becoming hard to watch (especially light scenes like snow). Went the big blue store and saw several projectors and TVs. My theater screen is a 100" electric motorized screen mounted over a closet. The room is not good for a TV but is great for projectors because I can darken it and it is a good shape for a home theater. I was able to re-use my ceiling mount but needed to make a trip to the hardware store with my new EF11 to get three smaller screws. Also, because the EF11 uses an external power adapter, I had to pony up for a $30 25" power cable to run from the outlet to the AC adapter. I'll post more pictures later but I did a good job with the installation.

One thing that I didn't like is that since this is a digital zoom, is that if you mount the projector too far way from the screen and you resize the image, there is still a light area that extends beyond the image and that was distracting so I had to move my mount closer to the screen and re-install it. Now it is perfect. Need to patch some holes in my ceiling. Since I went from a bulb type projector to this laser projector, I was blown away by the image. Even though this is less lumens than my old projector, the image is by far more vibrant. The colors really pop. There is a lot of control that the user has over the image and the operator just needs to tweak them to their liking or use the presets. Looking foward to my movie nights again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very nice projector for the man cave
By shawn lamb on June 11, 2022
Really liking the qaulity of the image on this projector, Ive had a lot of the cheapy led ones and they always yellow out after about a year, this one was refurbished but came in like new and the image gets to about 140" at around a 9ft throw, my garage is 10ft wide so it's hard finding a projector to get a decent image size at that short of a distance, my old projectors I had to mount in the middle of the garage and have it bounce off a mirror to get the same size this one does. It has good contrast and bright colors

4.0 out of 5 stars Works amazing! But no Netflix?
By Amazon Customer on March 22, 2022
Works amazing! Supe easy to use and the picture is insanely brigh, vivid and crisp! Sound quality for this thing is amazing for its small size. Extremely small but packs a big punch.

There's no nexflix cast from the phone which is weird but prime and YouTube work great. You can plug a Netflix capable device into the hdmi and use it that way but no phone cast.

I don't care about Netflix but make sure you know.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good budget projector- 1HDMI input only
Reviewed in Canada on October 25, 2021
I found this little projector on sale and grab it. The first thing you should know that this projector has 1 HDMI input only. This is it.
It works for sources with HDMI outputs but my system is having a synce issue with non-HDMI sources (Wii, PS2, PS1). This is not a deal breaker for me.

The 2nd thing you must know is that the picture is good in a dark room. It is not a bright projector at 1000Lumens.

The 3rd thing you must know is that this projector is for a short throw distance within 11ft or so. The manual adjustments could be tricky but Epson's corner adjustment makes it a bit easier than other system..

I only have the unit for 2 weeks so I could not comment on the longevity of the product. I had it on for 3hours+ and it fine. The power supply does get hot when you use it for that long.

You do not need any special plate to mount this onto the ceiling. I just used a generic projector mount that I bought here in Amazon for $26. Any of the mount with the adjustable legs should do.

I have tested the unit with PS3, WIIU, PS2, Wii, Bluray and Fire Stick Prime video streaming (all sources connected to an AVR)...the result are good. Essentially a good upgrade for the price point...

Update: after a few months of use I get some random blinking orange light. Google it and it says that the unit has a temperature issue or laser issue...contact Epson. Not so good now. The projector will still work after shutting down.
