It was super easy set up..self explanatory if you read the directions (READ the directions).
It has a battery/travel mode which is A M A Z I N G. It is not STUCK in the nursery on a chord. You can unplug and take it wherever he is. If he is in his swing napping in the family room, you can keep an eye on him without having to move a chord and plug it in and reset it up BLAH BLAH BLAH. Just plop it in front of him and go about your cleaning. The battery life is LONG. I work from home, so we utilize this feature often just trying to keep him happy throughout the day while I work. Hours of battery life with constant viewing. The chord it came with to charge the netgear Arlo is SUPER long also and we love it. It is so important.
Next, the Wifi connection...we have two different speed wifi networks...a 5 Ghz and a 2.5 I believe. His bedroom is close enough to my desktop and modem to connect the camera to the faster network which loses strength quick because it is not meant to be a signal you get throughout the house (primarily used for a desktop computer IN the office)....with that being said...it goes ACROSS the house, on this 5 Ghz network with very low strength and we have never experienced signal loss....not ONCE. We have only experienced delay, which is common in Wifi Monitors, but this delay is seconds at most.
The Arlo app, love that it is on ALL platforms possible. I can log in on my computer through the web browser, I can log on my iPhone AND we actually bought a HD Fire Tablet, downloaded the app through Amazon on IT and we use that as our baby monitor....its amazing and you're not constantly having to use your phone as the only way to view the camera while also trying to scroll through Facebook and answer the 10 messages you ignored from earlier all while trying to keep an eye on your baby. Sold. The app is user friendly. I figured how to turn the status light off on the camera at 3 AM, sleep deprived. If I can do it, so can you. And I mean, you can turn the obnoxious light on the camera OFF...did you catch that? No sticky not over it so it doesn't wake your baby who is so easily distracted and fighting sleep.
Next, the features ON the camera itself....it plays lullaby's...didn't think we would use this feature, but every now and then we do. Their is a night light on the camera also, you can turn it on by the app or a button on the side of the camera...nice feature when you're hunting down the paci that just launched across the room. It has the talk feature...its more used to yell at your dog to stop that or Husband to tell him he is doing it wrong from the other room (totally kidding..not)..I am sure this feature will be more handy as he gets older. The one feature I thought I would miss from our other camera was the 360 panning. The ability to move the camera where you want BUT this camera has a wide angle lens and if you set it up to view the largest angle...I can literally get wall to wall in his nursery. It is PERFECT. The image quality is insane. I never thought a baby camera would be this clear. I can snap photos and record videos of my child being cute. It also tracks temp and humidity...I find it not 100% accurate. I think it picks up a lot of heat the camera itself puts off, but again, not a deal breaker to me.
I think I officially covered everything about the camera and hopes this helps someone's search. You will have positives and negatives to all camera's...that is just electronics, BUT if you have decent Wifi this will be great. I can check in on my child when ever I am not home and that gives me so much peace of mind.

My Needs: I needed a baby monitor that was 1) had HD quality video 2) was accessible remotely via my phone, iPad or computer.
Why I Chose Arlo: after reading and watching YouTube reviews and seeing how easy it was to set up (so I thought) and the picture quality and the fact it met all my needs it was a done deal. I also found out a friend had the Arlo Security cams set up and was impressed at how easy he could access them.
My Experience - The App: So first off, if your going to create a high quality camera who’s only user interface is an app….MAKE SURE THE APP WORKS. I cannot tell you how frustrating it has been owning this product staring at the eternal “connecting” swirl on the video feed as it struggles to connect to the camera. The app as a whole is good in terms of the features, data it gives you and your control. But if you can’t connect to the damn camera to do ANY of these things then what the heck is the flip’n point! The app’s connection to the camera is HORRIBLE. I thought it was me and my wifi at home but it seems to be everywhere I go I get this same experience. I moved about 7 months after purchase and got a WAY BETTER faster internet speed and experienced the SAME eternal “connecting” swirl experience when trying to connect to the camera. My previous internet service was Verizon FIOS and so was my new service, just faster connection, so my previous internet speed was not the issue after all. When I saw they create a brand new app and basically forced all IOS and Android users to upgrade to it I thought all my issues were solved. NOPE! Still get the same “connecting” swirl of eternity to connect. I then went to my friend and asked him to bring up his camera system on his phone to see if it wasn’t just me and not to my surprise he too gets hung up on the “connecting” screen when accessing his security system. So the App gets a big FAIL!! Oh and the camera just sucks on Android devices. I use a Fire HD as a monitor and the app simply acts worse on that OS than it does on iOS. I get more connection issues when using my Fire HD vs my iPhone/iPad.
My Experience - The Camera: The camera has good picture quality and feels very stable. It’s a shame that it can’t be turned up/down via the app but (for $175 like come on) but hey you can find other products that do that. There are two major drawbacks to the camera 1) no local storage of video: It would be great to stick a mini SD card in the camera and get local storage of video and constant recording instead of paying a monthly fee to access a cloud storage of video feeds. I’m sorry but if you can’t get the app to act right, I’m not paying to have video stored on their service. The camera has enough room and space to fit a SDCard slot, but I guess for the purpose of getting month service fee’s from customers they decided not to give us the option. The second issue is the battery life and the HORRIBLE connector. When the camera is running without being connected to power you’ll get a good maybe 5 hours of use before it dies. The power connector is crap. Pure crap! I’ve waken up so many times in the middle of the night to find the cable laid on the ground because it simply fell out of the connector to the camera. Like huh?!!! Why is this an issue on such an expensive product?!
My solution: I found none and went seeking a new product. Now, take my opinion for what it is, but go by yourself a Wyze Camera. I found that I was forced to go to this awesome product. I found them out of frustration of trying to find a new solution cause I’m not going to sit through a “connecting” window when checking on my children as they sleep in their cribs. Sorry, not happening! The camera’s are small and cheap! I was first hesitant to buy them cause 1) they were $25 bucks and like how good can you be for $25 bucks and 2) at that time I never heard of them. But I figured hey you spent $175 on a crappy camera and can’t spend $25?! So I took the dive and got one….them purchased 5 more! The cameras have everything this Arlo piece of garbage doesn’t 1) local storage. I use a 64GB mini SD card and have full access to the video it records at any given time. And 2) THE APP WORKS!!! I haven’t had ANY issues connecting to the app when needed to. Not once! And for $38 there is a 360 motion version of he camera where you get full 360 view of whenever your monitoring and controlled via the App. It’s a pure shame this product is just horrible. I was halfway tempted to buy their security camera kit, a huge investment, but if I’m paying $600 plus for a security camera for my home just to see a “connecting” logo when checking on my property. NOPE! I would NOT recommend this product, especially when using to watch a new born from a distance. It’s just not reliable at all.

Top reviews from other countries
Quality item that feels every bit beautifully engineered.
No complaints here’s.
A side note, I did read a review that someone's camera got hacked and they didn't trust the camera anymore. That can be said for any technology with a camera connected to a network. It's a risk that every consumer should be educated about.
In closing, if you're looking for a monitoring system that is easy to set up, gives decent resolution, access on your phone from anywhere 24/7, no need to record video for more than 7 days, and are ok with a camera that is plugged into an outlet, you won't be disappointed with the Arlo Baby.
My 2 Android 10 phones sit on "Connecting" and never connects. But my iPad connects without issue.
I reached out to Arlo Support which is an absolute joke. They follow canned messages, never read your responses, and have this horrible 4 line message bubble you have to respond within, then after sending a response you get: page unavailable as there's a server issue. Not sure why this product is rated so highly.
My last message- support told me to upgrade to Android 11 to fix issue for connectivity issue. Seriously!?!
